Anatomy Study: Worms and Birds

Working directly from a model (preferable) or one of the images in the Powerpoint below:

 

draw 3 versions of the human figure from below (worm's eye view)

draw 3 versions of the human figure from above birds's eye view)

​

​

Work traditionally using pencil, conte, chalk, or pen (color optional) using line and tone

​

These drawings should attempt to portray the figure in a convincing manner, using extreme foreshortening. Do not include any details such as facial features, or hair unless sketched in very generally.

​

​

Work from a live model or a photograph of a model.

The PPT below contains photographs of models in foreshortened poses.

​

Be sure to step back often
