After years of using Digication for course implementation and student e-Portfolios, this course has been reworked to utilize Wix and Blackboard – Wix for all course content and student e-Portfolios, and Blackboard as a hub for attendance, assignment submission, and grading. Changing technology is part of the ongoing development of this course which studies the past and present significance of New York City’s coastline through the interdisciplinary lens of history, art, literature, environmental science, and social justice. This course is built upon High Impact Practices such as field-based research, independent projects, flipped classroom techniques, and creative production. Each student creates an e-Portfolio in Wix of their semester’s work. Please see the following examples:
